About Dayton Scottish Dancing

Scottish Highland Dancing is the perfect combination of art and sport. You do not have to be Scottish to participate in this type of dance. Whether your interest lies in performing or competing, Highland Dancing is for you! Boys and girls of all ages and skill levels perform and compete together throughout the year at local, national, and international events. Wearing the traditional kilt and dancing to bagpipe music will develop skills that will give you valuable experiences that can have a positive impact throughout life.

All about fun, maybe a little dirt, and a whole lot of laughs! Is it kid friendly? Absolutely! The wee ones can do a kid-friendly version of the same adult obstacle, activity or puzzle. Shamrock Shenanigans will take place Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15. Tickets are $15 per person. Register online HERE or at the event beginning at 6pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday. Obstacles include Nerf Gun Shooting Range, Cornhole, Maze Seek & Find, Giant Jenga, Mini Golf, Giant Cup Pong and Spin the Wheel. About Off Kilter

Off Kilter is a high-energy Celtic rock band founded by Jamie Holton, bagpiper, in 1996. The band is a unique blend of traditional Celtic tunes and songs with a rock twist, popular covers arranged with a Celtic rock feel, and original songs. Instruments consist of bagpipes, Irish whistles, electric guitar, bass, fiddle, drums and vocals. The band recently ended an 18 year run as one of the most popular bands at Walt Disney World in Florida, and currently tours the country performing at many different venues. Off Kilter has a huge following and draws several thousand fans when they appear at festivals and concerts. Off Kilter recently released their 6th album titled One More Time to enormous success. About The 42nd Royal Highlanders

Based in Lafayette, Indiana, this amazing group portrays the 42nd Royal Highlanders (Today's Black Watch) as they appeared in North America circa 1777. The 42nd of Lafayette was formed by Captain Thomas J. Griffin in 1975, for men interested in Scottish history and culture, portraying the 42nd during the period of the American Revolution. Today, the 42nd Royal Highlanders Band of Music is America's premier 18th century band of pipes, fifes, and drums, and has performed for audiences across the country, from the New England coast to the Mississippi River, and from Wisconsin to Fort Ticonderoga in New York, Vermont, and south to Alabama. In 2013 the 42nd Royal Highlanders toured Scotland and played at the opening of the Black Watch Museum and for the Royal Family.

About Miami Valley Pipes & Drums

Based in Dayton, Ohio, the band meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 P.M. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, except for the first Tuesday of each month, when the band meets at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church in Fairborn. The band provides free pipe lessons to anyone who is interested in joining with the band after learning to play. An intermediate level class is also available. The band is available for hire as a band or individually to play at your event. Whether your event is solemn or celebratory, the Miami Valley Pipes and Drums can meet your needs.

About Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance (Dayton)

The Richens/Timm Academy is one of the most recognizable and respected names in the world of Irish dance.  It is the most established and accomplished school in both central Ohio, central Indiana and now Wyoming.  The Academy’s rich history began over 35 years ago when Ann Richens ADCRG, a native of Dublin, Ireland, began traveling to Columbus from Dayton, Ohio to share her passion for Irish dance.  After her prized pupil, John Timm, captured the 1993 Senior Men’s World Championship title, they partnered and the school became the Richens/Timm Academy.  Following Ann’s passing in 2011, Richens/Timm is now directed by John and his wife, Heather Timm. The Richens/Timm Academy currently serves locations in Dublin, Columbus and Dayton, OH , Indianapolis and Tipton, IN, and a sister school in Casper, Wyoming.

The name originates from the breed's purpose, wolf hunting with dogs, rather than from their appearance. Irish Wolfhounds can be an imposing sight due to their formidable size. Stop by and see these gentle giants and learn about their history and how they have evolved as a breed. Check out this impressive breed throughout the weekend in the Gentle Giants Pavilion.

Alan Miller is a second-generation livestock herder based out of Bloomfield, KY, about 35 miles southeast of Louisville.  Open your imagination and think you're on the side of a mountain and watch as Miller demonstrates how he uses border collies to maneuver small groups of ducks and sheep. During the demonstrations Miller will explain to the audience the history of herding and how the dogs help out daily on the farm.

Columbus Celtic Dancers is an organization of adult Irish step dancers in Columbus, Ohio. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting Irish culture through the art of traditional Irish step dancing. The name originates from the breed's purpose, wolf hunting with dogs, rather than from their appearance. Irish Wolfhounds can be an imposing sight due to their formidable size. Alan Miller is a second-generation livestock herder based out of Bloomfield, KY, about 35 miles southeast of Louisville.  Open your imagination and think you're on the side of a mountain and watch as Miller demonstrates how he uses border collies to maneuver small groups of ducks and sheep. During the demonstrations Miller will explain to the audience the history of herding and how the dogs help out daily on the farm.
